Liz came to Information Technology Services in 1997 and is currently the Procurement Manager, where she takes care of financial and some operational issues for the department. |

Christina Bleyer, College Librarian, Associate Vice President of Libraries and Digital Learning; Director of Special Collections and Archives, Watkinson Library [email protected] 860-297-2266 RLITC A70 Christina Bleyer, PhD is College Librarian, Associate Vice President of Libraries and Digital Learning and Director of Special Collections and Archives, Watkinson Library at Trinity College in Hartford, CT and has been at Trinity since June of 2018. She also serves as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Archival Organization. She earned her Master’s and Doctorate in Philosophy at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale where until 2016 she managed the institution’s manuscript collections. Her research is focused on human rights, ethics, and the role of emotions in the constitution of the person, the community, and memory especially in Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition to securing several grants to collect oral histories from the Hartford community, Dr. Bleyer serves as the Principal Investigator for The Watkinson’s recently awarded Modern Endangered Archives Program Grant to digitize the Lloyd Best Archive in Trinidad and Tobago. |

As the electronic resources librarian she is responsible for acquisition, upkeep, troubleshooting, and evaluation of the library’s subscription and perpetually licensed electronic resources, including databases, e-journals, e-books, and streaming media. She is the administrator of Trinity’s integrated library system, Alma. Kim is involved in collection development for the leisure reading and graphic novels collections. |

He teaches courses on drone technology and enjoys exploring ways to integrate emerging technologies such as virtual/augmented reality, 3d modeling and making into the Liberal Arts curriculum. |
Mary Mahoney ’09, Ph.D. Digital Scholarship Strategist. [email protected] 860-297-2146 RLITC 121 Mary leads digital scholarship efforts at Trinity. In addition to program-building efforts and technical support of existing and future digital scholarship platforms, Mary oversees a number of programs and opportunities for faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students. Prior to starting at Trinity, Matt worked in EdTech and higher education for 10 years in roles related to new software implementation and training. Matt is enthusiastic about the intersection of education and emerging technologies. |

Her work includes the arrangement, description, and housing of materials in the College’s archival collections in order to facilitate user access. |
Eric Johnson-DeBaufre, PhD, Rare Books and Special Collections Librarian [email protected] 860-297-4219 RLITC, Watkinson Library Profile page Before he became a librarian, Eric Johnson-DeBaufre received his Ph.D. in English and taught 16th and 17th century British literature at several liberal arts colleges and universities. He joined Watkinson Library in 2019 where he wears several hats—rare books curator, cataloger, instructor, and preservationist. He loves old typefaces and is still searching for the Sancho Panza who will help him fulfill his quixotic dream of opening a type foundry in Hartford. |
Casey Machenheimer, Special Collections and Archives Librarian for Public Services [email protected] 860-297-2558 RLITC A71 Casey Machenheimer joined the Watkinson Library in January 2024. She received her B.A. in English from Ohio University in 2019 and her M.L.S. with a specialization in Rare Books and Manuscripts from Indiana University in 2023. Prior to coming to the Watkinson, she has worked in both special collections libraries and public libraries. In her current role, her focus is facilitating user access to materials, working directly with students, and finding new ways to promote opportunities and services in the Watkinson Library. |
Barbara Sternal, Art Collection Manager, Watkinson Library [email protected] 860-297-2290 RLITC A36 Barbara Sternal began working at the Watkinson Library in 2022 as the Bicentennial Processing Archivist to assist in projects related to Trinity College’s Bicentennial celebration in 2023. She transitioned to Art Collection Manager in 2024. She has a B.A. in History from Boston College and an M.A. in Public History from Central Connecticut State University. She is an experienced collections professional and has worked with various archival and museum collections at a number of institutions. |
Eric Stoykovich, College Archivist and Manuscript Librarian 860-297-2267 RLITC A63 Eric represents two actively-growing collections, the Trinity College Archives and the manuscripts collection. He answers questions about Trinity’s 200-year history and the handwritten records of Connecticut’s leaders. Eric seeks to elevate the awareness of the College and its stakeholders to the importance of preserving Trinity’s archives, including the digital presence of Trinity’s faculty, staff, and students. |

Amanda Matava, MLS, Digital Archivist and Head of Digital Asset Management [email protected] 860-297-4084 RLITC A73 As the head of Digital Asset Management, Amanda’s responsibilities include overseeing the creation, ingest, appraisal, description, and stewardship of born-digital or digitized library, archival, and special collections materials. Amanda has been working in libraries for 15 years. She joined Trinity in 2017. |
Benny Bauer, Digital Media Librarian [email protected] 860-297-4061 RLITC 184 Benny joined the Digital Asset Management department as Digital Media Librarian in 2022, and directs the Digital Imaging Studio and student staff. Their main responsibilities include collaborating with faculty and other departments to fulfill video teaching and research needs, designing and overseeing digital workflows, monitoring completion and storage of digital projects, and publishing library, archival, and special collections materials to online institutional repositories. |

He has held many positions in his time spent working for the College and is now responsible for access programming of college buildings, including automated door schedules, specification and maintenance of door hardware, door frames, security, and monitoring and alarming of campus buildings. He also maintains and updates the interior door signage of all buildings. |

He coordinates training and support for classroom technology use across the Trinity community and works with facilities and other campus managers on learning space maintenance and development. |

Patrick also leads special projects, including technology upgrades, and consulting with users, implementations of new systems capabilities to enhance productivity and efficiency. Patrick joined Information Technology Services in 1999. |

Before Trinity, he spent 5 years at Southern Connecticut State University implementing a document management solution and a year at ESPN as an ETL developer. He holds a Master’s in Information Systems Management from Bowie State University and an MBA from UCONN. |

His responsibilities include technical support for Trinity’s PeopleSoft systems. His prior position was at the Hartford Insurance Company where he was a PeopleSoft Developer on their Financials system. He has been in the IT field since 1983 working in various industries such as banking, retail, and insurance. |
Craig Jirowetz, Software Applications Developer [email protected] 860-297-4112 RLITC B24 Craig is responsible for creating custom Microsoft-based software programs for various Trinity College departments. These programs are developed using numerous programming languages and database tools such as C#.Net, VB.Net, VBA, JavaScript, XML, HTML and SQL. As a central member of Trinity’s core programming team, he is active in all areas of the software development process. |

He also helps troubleshoot and repair software-related issues for clients’ desktop computers. Jason has worked for Information Technology Services since he began as an undergraduate in 1996. |

His areas of expertise are network protocols, Unix and Linux, interperation with MS-Windows, and cross-platform printing with PostScript. |

Andrew also provides additional support for the card transaction devices on campus and the College’s digital floor plans. He has been a locksmith since 2004 and has done carpentry since 1998. |
